Packaging innovations for ecology: Luxe Pack sustainability focus
The new Edition Speciale format of the Luxe Pack trade show brand is set to have its rollout this year in June in Paris.
The organisers have now announced that ‘Packaging innovations for ecology’ will be the theme of the inaugural edition of the show, following a consultation process with multi-sector luxury goods brands.
Luxe Pack’s focus on sustainability is particularly interesting, as the shows are aimed at the premium, prestige and luxury markets: the theme for the first Edition Speciale event suggests that the concern over ecological impact is now being seen in a serious way even in the luxury market.
“Out of panel of 50 international brands from the worlds of perfume and cosmetics, delicatessens, wines and spirits, fashion and jewellery, nearly all of them opted for the same subject: consumers of luxury goods are requesting packaging that has been designed with ecology in mind,” explain the show’s organisers.
Voice of the organiser
Why sustainability, and how are luxury players responding? Nathalie Grosdidier, Deputy Managing Director of INFOPRO DIGITAL, the organiser of the Luxe Pack shows, explains all.
“We wanted to create an intimate professional event in an exceptional setting where participants could present solutions developed in line with this year’s theme”, she says.
“As soon as the theme was announced on our social networks, 73 applications were made within less than 24 hours by manufacturers hoping to take part.”
Participating packaging suppliers have voiced their interest in the sustainability topic.
“Eco-design is our battle horse and we collaborate with many brands on innovative projects”, says one.
“It is our responsibility to support brands in realizing their ideas by offering them solutions that have been ecologically designed,” explains another.
Edition Speciale details
The Luxe Pack Edition Speciale event is aiming to welcome more than 75 exhibitors carefully selected for their expertise in the eco-design of the packaging of tomorrow, according to organisers.
This is alongside a panel of luxury eco-friendly brands and experienced experts: more specifically, a community of key players committed to the environment, to work hand-in-hand on “different luxury packaging”.
