Combining the expertise of both Seppic and Total has led to the launch of two new high purity emollients at the in-cosmetics trade show earlier this month, that are enhanced because of the commercial partnership.

At the show, news came through that French ingredients player Seppic teamed up with Total Fluides to develop a range of bio-sourced emollients and to explore new development opportunities in the cosmetics market.

CosmeticsDesign-Europe.com caught up with Seppic's Sabrina Mizael and Nathalie Chevrot at the show to discuss the agreement, and they explined further what this has meant for the company.

Mizael explained that thanks to the partnership two high purity emollient ranges were able to be developed, one from synthetic origin and the other from vegetable origin, using Total's patented process.

Chevrot also discusses the EcoDesign concept that the French firm introduced at the event, outlining its three CSR commitments: decrease environmental impact; innovate for customers; and being a socially responsible company.
