Polish beauty entrepreneur Anna Mamczur is on a mission to build a brand with the best anti-aging product in the world. She founded Phenome Organic Skincare in 2009 and D’Alchémy just 2 years ago. At Cosmoprof North America last month, Cosmetics Design spoke with Mamczur about the concept of alchemy, her ingredients, her investor, and more.

Alchemists, explains Anna Mamczur, CEO of D’Alchémy Holistic Skincare, were the first chemists; they invented cosmetics and we get the word laboratory from alchemists as well. “They believe that the whole universe is very important, and that people can use nature but never destroy nature….This philosophy,” she says, “gives us a lot of power [from which] to create the brand”

D’Alchémy, Mamczur tells Cosmetics Design, is all about natural, organic skin care based on plant hydrosols. And she shares further insight into the brand’s formulation strategy, including details on the ECOCERT and COSMOS certified preservatives D’Alchémy uses—preservatives, that Mamczur points out, are used “in the food industry, in cheese, yogurt, everywhere. So we believe it’s best for the skin to use this kind of preservatives.”

Watch the full video interview above to learn more about the D’Alchémy brand and product line as well as about the time and care that Mamczur put into finding and signing with an investor partnership that’s advantageous for both the investing company and for D’Alchémy.
