Since Marie Drago launched Gallinée into the marketplace, it seems the entire industry has turned their attention to the microbiome. Well-known brands including La Roche-Posay (L'Oréal), Aveeno (Johnson & Johnson), and Elizabeth Arden (Revlon) have launched probiotic skin care products; and just this week, Unilever’s Dove brand posted an Introduction to the Skin Microbiome online. And there are plenty of startup brands getting in on this industry shift as well, perhaps most prominently, Gallinée, Tula, and Mother Dirt.
In this video interview, Drago explains how Gallinée products are carefully formulated and painstakingly manufactured “to help your skin help yourself;” her experience with Unilever Ventures; why she’s encouraging beauty consumers to “put vinegar on your face;” what she see “happening with the treatment of acne and eczema in the coming years;” and more!
